I was raised on optimism by my parents with the strong belief that Nigerians were destined for a good life and prosperity, being one of the richest countries in Africa but I grew up to see orphanages, to see villages of graves, to read reports, to meet with and work with people all over Nigeria and Africa, whose lives and futures have been truned upside down - and I have to stopped and get ready to contribute to change!
Sometimes, someday in our lives, we have to stop and reassess the situation and begin to think. Solve this question: "Am I doing anything to change this reality?" This question should start ringing in our ears. This is what I have come to believe: "This is not our inevitable future." This is a battle for our nation's and continents's survival. It is a battle for our true transformation.
We carry inside, each and every one of us, the potential to increase the problems or the potential and talent to help solve the problems. This is not a policy issue, hence, the global financial crisis impend you, this is ourselves, our families, our communities, our hopes, our today and ultimately our future. And this is our decisive moment, because we are the first generation that can end poverty and we have to collectively refuse to miss this historic opportunity.
