About me
Animals and the environment have been a part of who I am since I can remember. Growing up I was the "animal lover" and "tree hugger", brought home stray kittens/baby birds/injured possums (much to my family's dismay) and spent many a weekend cleaning up the local mangroves and beaches. To the core, I am a conservationist.

Another love of mine is the media - it is a fantastic tool for conservation as it educates and motivates, and can reach out to almost any demographic.

Combining media and conservation is my life ambition. I currently write for Asian Geographic Junior, a kids magazine, have my own Aussie eco blog and help maintain a blog for a turtle hatchery on Tioman Island. I also work in conservation education with school groups, taking them into the heart of nature and showing them first hand the problems they face and how they can make a difference.

I am completely inspired by what I have seen with TakingITGlobal - it is fantastic to see so much being done and so many people getting involved.
