About me
In early 2008 I went backpacking in Australia and New Zealand. While I was there I started to scratch the surface of a few topics I would love to learn about: aboriginal/indigenous history and rights, global citizenship, and - being in somewhat of a permadrought - water conservation and environmental wellness. Upon my return I was amazed at the amount of stuff I own, having lived out of a backpack happily. I ate way less meat, hated multitasking, and was way more water conscious. Knowing my poor self-discipline, I knew it was only a matter of time before I went back to my old ways.
And now I'm multitasking as I write this....after an all-you-can-eat sushi feast...and a hot shower.
I haven't put much effort into learning more about the issues I find interesting - ones that I encountered traveling, and at home. I'm hoping this site will help me become committed to becoming a global citizen & more mindful of major issues of the world today.
