About me
Well, I am Mr. Aubin Oscar ZOETYANDE. I am a citizen of Burkina Faso, a country located in West Africa.
To me, Education is more than something necessary. It’s something vital, essential and all human regardless his gender, race, age-group, and social conditions deserve a decent and comprehensive education for his personal development, his social well-being and his professional promotion. It’s the reason why we must fight against the 21st illiteracy (lack of computer science, ICTs and the English language knowledge.)
At this moment I am living in Ouagadougou, the capital of the country and I’m working as a Youth and Permanent Education Adviser for the Ministry of Youth and Employment. As such, I am taking part actively to the implementation of the National Youth Policy (NYP) and the Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper programs in collaboration with youth organizations and development partners. I am also the ALISON Country Manager in charge of the implementation of this Institution’s Program here in Burkina Faso. On the professional ground, I have implemented a research project related to the impact of the entrepreneurial training on young people job opportunities; and I performed activities related to the NYP such as the National Youth Fora organized annually and both Primary and Secondary groups Management.
As far as my education background is concerned, I attended a four year professional training as a Youth and Permanent Education Advisor at the National Youth, Physical Education and Sports Institute of Ouagadougou. But before that I have an Advanced Vocational Diploma level in the Tourism and Catering industry and spent two years at the University of Ouagadougou in the English Department.
Well, I strongly agree with those who think that it is not too late for Africans to make a difference as far as the achievement of sustainable development is concerned. That’s why I am convinced that lifelong education is the only way to fight illiteracy in Africa. Illiteracy is one of the mayor reasons justifying the underdevelopment of most African countries.
