About me
I am currently studying an MSC in Health, Community and Development at LSE. I have worked with a community health organization for several years with women, children and adolescents living with HIV and AIDS. One of my key interests is in participation and advocacy.
I feel that one of the greatest challenges is discrimination. In order to move on and ensure that HIV is not stigmatized more so than other illnesses we need to continue challenging the perception it has in society through awareness raising and encouraging discussing of taboo subjects linked to the topic. Ultimately we need a multidisciplinary approach that utilizes the knowledge of sociology, psychology, economics, politics and biomedical science. Each discipline is a part of the pizzle and we need leaders from all sectors on board.
I am currently working in London and have also
lived and worked in Canary Islands, Spain and Australia which is my second home.
