About me
Grown up in a typical Ghanaian home, I have learn t quite a lot about the culture of our forefathers and willing to share with whoever is interested.Academically, by the grace of the Almighty I have sailed my vessel through and now at University of Cape Coast, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Management.
In life you will only get what you want if only you take the initiative. You know what, you will never reach your destinaton if you never sail your vessel so go sail vessel till rivers run dry.
Over the years I have been a youth activist and a social worker and a volunteer. I use my spare time to think about how best I can help in solving the problems of the youth and the less fortunate in society.
My spirit of volunteerism took me to eye clinics, hospitals, environmental cleaning exercises, blood donation campaigns(eg. Korle Bu Teaching Hospital blood donation exercise, 2000 --2004), Easter kids Party, ( Joy Easter Kids Party 2002 - 2005).
I have, through the help of some friends, in the name of UCCABS ( University of Cape Coast Association of Business Students), been able to organize a local donation, where we collected used clothings , money contributions and other provisions and donated it to some less fortunate people at ANKAFUL CAMP, a place in Cape Coast in Ghana, where physically challenged and the old and weak people are camped. We also extend our donation to the psychiatric hospital also situated at the camp.
I have also participated in many local events such as advocacy campaigns , capacity building workshops, seminars.
Having worked in the hospitalityhotel industry for some years now I have learnt how to live and work with people of different cultures, backgrounds and dignity.
Below are some of my special skills and competences (just a few)
*Excellent communications, and inter-personal skills
* Able to take initiatives, and work for longer hours even under pressure
* Knowledge and experience of protocol
* Good human relations, and ability to work together with foreigners and people I not know.
* Good in advocacy and lobbying for opportunities for youth at all levels.
* Ability to work conscientiously, even with little or no supervision
Have been always passionate about helping the less fortunate around me and promoting youth entrepreneurship and employment.
