About me
I was born in Montreal. I've lived most of my life in Toronto. I have 3 older brothers, am married and have a lovely daughter.
I've always been curious about all types of things. In university I studied history, focusing on Islam and Medieval Studies. I taught piano and ecology to after-school and summer camp programs to finance my education.
I play 3 instruments, piano, violin and bass. I compose music as a hobby and have written and produced 3 musicals that appeared in regional theater companies in both Canada and the US.
My work life has focused most recently on new start ups and small business as a consultant and growth coach.
I am a voracious reader, love to garden, love working with other animals. My major physical activity is long walks with my dog and puttering around the garden.
I turn over rocks to see what's under them. I have my own telescope to look at the planets, moons and stars. There is not much that doesn't arouse my interest.
I am a contributing writer to CMSWire and Kiwi Commons. I also write a small business blog which you can find at http://lenrosenmarketing.blogspot.com. I've also started a Wordpress blog called 21st Century Tech.
I have been working with Kiva.org providing micro-loans to entrepreneurs in the developing world. I would encourage all of you to look at Kiva and the tremendous good it is doing around the world.
Finally, I have dedicated myself to working with the blood donor program here in Canada where I am coordinator for a new program called the Bloodmobile, a mobile donor clinic on wheels.
