About me
Hi! My name is Sergio Lopez, I'm 18 years old and I'm the Youth Programs Coordinator, as well the General Secretary of SOMOSGAY, a solidarity organization, committed to innovation of effective strategies against homophobia, improving the prevention of HIV and AIDS, and the advancement of Human Rights in Paraguay.
I became an activist in mid-2008, when I became involved with community-based organizations; carrying out tasks of logistics as a volunteer, among others, as today when I became part of the body SOMOSGAY Youth Leaders.
My work is to offer support on monitoring and follow up management of the organization’s Youth Area, serving to meet the needs of functionality, supporting all activities of the organization in general management and daily agenda of the Executive Director, and as well to generate the dynamic execution of the work of his staff.
During 2009 and part of 2010, I lived in Barcelona, Spain, where I could interact with youth from around the world, which then served to carry out more participatory youth activities with the Vice Ministry of Youth in Asunción, where I currently reside.
I'm also the RFP (Regional Focal Point) of GYCA in Latin America
