About me
I am a media practineer currently working with an NGO that uses mass media to facilitate social change. I belive that communities have all the capacity and knowledge to implement their own social change and sustainable development is best achieved is the people themselves demant and are involved in the social change process. As social change agents it is our duty to realise what indeginous knowlwdge arleady exists in those communities that can be used to mobilise the communities to adopt new cultural values. The media has the power to create social change because it embodies, influences and represents the societies values and norms. If used effectively it can influence social change.
