I have just started research on "climate change and its influence on children in the developing countries," because due to the global warming, many people's life is threatened severely.
Many people in the world are discussing how to stop the global warming, but even if all the efforts will be successful, the effect will come out after 2030. This issue is named "adaptation" but the discussion is still middle way.
I would like to collect information about how people's, especially children's, life is changed and threatened by climate change and global warming.
I need your help!!!

2001 A child representative for the 2nd World Congress against Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC)

2005 worked as an intern of Japan Committee for UNICEF Public outreach section during the summer vacation

2007 Become a member of Japan Youth G8 Project

I started activities on children's rights when I was a high school student. I went to a symposium about child prostitution and sex tourism in the southeast Asian countries. It was significantly shocking that girls around age of ten were sold by their families and working as prostitutes, and were killed by HIV before becoming 20 years old.

What raged me more was the fact that most of their customers were Japanese people and Japanese travel agency coordinate sex tourism for them. I was extremely shocked and got angry for the fact that no one have told me these fact before I become 16 years old. I shamed on myself for my not-knowing years.

However, later I realized that "not-knowing" cannot be blamed, but "not-telling" should be blamed. As a person who fortunately got to know these realities, I should feel responsible about telling these miserable facts to uninformed people.

I went to University in the United States and studied among friends all over the world.

After graduating from the University, I came back to Japan and engage in the youth empowerment projects. If you want to work with Japanese youth organization, I will help coordinating with an appropriate organization. Please let me know!
