About me
Am Paul Lengar youth activist Sierra Leone. In 2009, I served as Programme Coordinator for Inter Secondary Schools Leadership Council (ISSL Council) my role is to ensure smooth coordination, control and implementation of service projects in communities of Sierra Leone.
I have been working in this position for the past five to six years, and my biggest challenge is youth involvement and participation in community service which is too low in my country Sierra Leone.
We have been engaging Communities, Schools, and Youth groups in Discussions and decision making processes which has coursed a lot of impact towards community/National development.
I enjoy working with young people, because there is a lot of potential in us as youth that help in bring positive change in our world today.
For the past years, we have been organizing Quiz, Debate, Career Canceling, Discussions and have introduced the Dr. Joseph Hangwe Peace Education program for Schools, Communities and Institutions.
Sierra Leone is a developing nation that needs a lot to be done. And as a youth activist it is my role to promote the voice of children and youth for future growth.
in 2011, Launched on August 12, 2011 in Sierra Leone with the support of the organizations GLOBAL EDUCATORS FOR ALL INITIATIVE, MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT AMBASSADORS AND INTER SECONDARY SCHOOLS LEADERSHIP COUNCIL (ISSL COUNCIL), the YMDAs empower youth leaders to bridge the global development divide and facilitate the emergence of a world without borders where all individuals have the right to education and sustainable development. They work as volunteers to localize the global MDGs in their local communities and are mentored by current Millennium Development Ambassadors.
