Amira has worked as a researcher, as She has successfully engaged in a number of collaborative policy research projects, developed training materials and delivered workshops in youth empowerment and building knowledge based societies through SCO. In the process she developed the (Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in Egypt ) paper which presented Egypt in a scoping study to assess the potential for engaging researchers younger than 30 in linking information society and sustainable development policy-makers, and in catalyzing changes in policy and practice in developing countries around the convergence of the two communities, plus engaging young youth in decision making, led by the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), the paper discussed in a UN summit which is the World Summit on Information Society, Bibliotheca Alexandria, and in the youth panel of Cairo ICT 2005, Mapping for Change- Kenya 2005 .
Plus, she worked as a reporter with SDA(Sustainable Development Association –NGO) since September of 2002 (as she joined the SDA on early stage from the beginning of founding the organization).
Previously, she worked in the private sector in Onyx .co and SGS in Egypt,
Amira awarded by many Certificates of Merit in the scope of youth activities and management: Process Improvement, Lean Six Sigma, and a Certificate of Achievement for successfully completing Leadership Training Program by Cambridge College in partnership with the Education Development Center, Inc. USA.
And holds "A+" from "Istanbul Technical University- Turkey"
Finally, Amira holds B.A. in Law -Alexandria University, Egypt.
and now she is studying for a "Diploma in Economic Science and Finance" -Aex. Uni.
The recently attended seminars\events for Year as a Regional and International Trainer for both TOT and young people in youth empowerment and UN projects:
• UNDP-ictdar Training – Jordan: TOT training for the new involved countries in "MY TecC"
• UNDP-ictdar Training – Lebanon : "The Partnership for Lebanon launches TAWASOL, the “Summer ICT Boot Camp for Youth”
Plus a delegate from ICTDAR (since getting engaged with ICTDAR) as ICTDAR organized:
- a regional feedback workshop for two days on the Human Rights CD and RespAct portal.Cairo, 26-27 March 2008
- ICTDAR, League of Arab States, UNFPA & UNDP Egypt are co-organizing the "League of Arab States Youth Forum". Ain Soukhna, Egypt, 18-22 November 2007
