About me
I'm an international student from India finishing off my BA in Political Science at York University in (Toronto). I enjoy what I'm studying very much but I've never really been one to limit myself to any one area of interest. For the year past (2002-2003), I tried to extend my academic knowledge to other areas: I've worked for a radio show which interrogates contemporary political issues; I've been scripting a radio documentary in support of an NGO which aims to bring attention to Kwabiyela village in South Africa; I've been doing camera work for a documentary which addresses the experiences of the queer Iranian community in Toronto; And, I've been working at the Centre for Feminist Research at York University. For the coming year, I will be attending the Master of Arts program at York in Political Science. My main focus for the MA is security studies because I'm quite intrigued by insecurity and the kinds of complications it creates in relations between peoples. Aside from politics, I'm a bit of a flight enthusiast and I dabble in creative writing.
