About me
Currently living in Sao Paulo, Brazil where I am working at different projects. Have been involve in International volunteering with different NGO's for the last six years in countries such as Nepal, Indonesia, Guatemala,India and Brazil. I was also selected as one of the volunteers for change of 2007 for the magazine Outpost. My next project in August 2009 will bring me back to India where I will continue my work in the community of Pappankalan where I have initiated two projects involving women and skills training. Also a project with children to mainstream them to governmental schools. The project also permits to the children of this slum area to be paired with a school in Canada with whom they can exchange stories, letters, drawings etc.My work in India has been happening with the help of Vidya a local Indian NGO and Cross Cultural Solutions Volunteers org. My focus area is skills development for women (related to textiles which is my background) and non-formal educational programs for children. Both these projects are been documented and hopefuly will be subjects of small documentaries in 2009. Looking forward to hear from you.
