About me
January, 2002
I am just a person who wants to help - especially these orphans who have no-one else to do it for them.
The Aids/HIV situation in sub-Saharan Africa and in Zimbabwe where we have our small shelter for orphans and street kids (who have no-where else to go) is tragic and getting worse. The whole world needs to get involved now to try to resolve this situation in Africa - we in the West cannot stand by and allow so many millions to die and their children to suffer over the next decades.
Ironically, it is the youth of the world and not so much adults now who will eventually save this situation - the young people who care and act NOW for others, and have a vision for the future. But there is hope if we all get involved and we all try to help.
For me it is not a question of race or colour. It is a matter of humanity. We are all human beings and I feel that we should all have the same human rights. My mission is to help orphans in Zimbabwe because I care about these children. I have two children of my own who are very much loved and cared for. It worries me very much that there are so many children in Africa (and in so many other countries) who need help now. I wish that one day there will be a world where no child on Earth is hungry, sick, sad or scared.
