About me
Pius Attandoh affectionately called 'Paye' is currently a final year student of University,Legon.I am the third of the five children born by my mother.I attended Mawuli School,Ho where I obtained distinction in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations.I am majoring in Sociology at the University of Ghana,Legon.My interest is mainly in how we can help develop and bring sustainable development to other members of our society located in the so-called rural settings.I must state that I am the type that believes that everybody must believe in him/herself in facing challenges and that every problem has a solution.I believe also that this generation of ours can change things around for the betterment of this world.I believe we must not perpetuate the wrongs of the about-to-be faded out generation.I have attended quite a number of symposia,fora and seminars on social and economic issues in Ghana.Notable among the programs attended are the ones organised by the Ghana National Youth Council.Also,I am among 120 University students selected around the globe to attend the 4th International Youth leadership Conference(IYLC) to be staged in Prague-Czech Republic in January 2003. I was also awarded bursary to attend the Africa -Canada Youth leadership programme at the St.Francis Xavier University,Canada.I also did about a year's Industrial attachment with CENCOSAD,a local NGO working in partnership with Save The Children Fund(U.K)and UNICEF.I have also worked as a volunteer in many other local communities in Ghana.With reference to my leadership roles,I am currently the Vice-President the old student union of Mawuli school,Legon branch.I have also served and greatly distinguished myself in the Planning Committees of my hall. I am also an active member of the Leo Internatioanl club,a junior club of the International Lions club.I enjoy reading,travelling and doing humanitarian works.
