About me
Ausrine PASAKARNYTE is graduated in Political Science and Diplomacy from Vytautas Magnus University, Kaunas, Lithuania. From a year 2005 she took part in different non-governmental organizations in Lithuania; at first as a participant, then as a team leader she was participating in a few international youth exchange projects, sponsored by the European Union or Council of Europe.
After graduating the university from October, 2007 till June, 2008 she spent in Italy working as an English teacher’s assistant in one Italian high-school, as part of European Voluntary Service (EVS).
In October, 2008 she took part in European training course for leaders “NEXT STEP” in Strasbourg, France; later on (April, 2009) was invited to be a part of the international organizing team in annual “Easter Course” event, which was organized by European Fellowship and implemented in Finland. She was also cooperating with global non-governmental umbrella organization FIMCAP.
All this kind of international experiences showed her, that young people do care about global issues and are willing to open their minds while talking about different ethnicity, race, historical and cultural background, related phobias and other issues.
Encouraged by the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in September, 2008 she became a UN online volunteer, specializing in non-formal learning and online consultations. Now it is already 4 years that she has started her online cooperation with youth NGO “Young People We Care” (YPWC) from Ghana, Africa.
At the moment she is also working in one international market research company in Charlotte, NC, USA, mainly dealing with medical studies and global poles on various issues.
She is also interested in linguistic layers and history; as she believes all that might tell a lot about the cultural mindset and help solving global problems arising from the lack of understanding.
