About me
My name is Suzanne. I graduated in May 2008 from the School for International Training (now known as SIT Graduate Institute) in Brattleboro, VT with a Masters degree in Teaching ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages). I am currently living in Daejeon, South Korea, teaching English and academic skills. I also have a BS/BA degree in Sociology and Psychology, with an emphasis on cross-cultural studies from John Carroll University.
My mother is originally from Poland and I am trying to learn how to speak French, Spanish, and Polish. I am very interested in International Affairs, Human Rights, and Social Justice initiatives. I am interested in various issues relating to women's rights, immigrants/refugees, environment, youth development projects, and technology in the classroom. I am also interested in integrating global issues and peace studies in a language classroom, especially in homogenous and hetrogenous classrooms.
