About me
I was born in Bogota, Colombia and I've lived in Miami, Florida, and finally, in definitely one of the best, if not the best country on earth: Canada, and one of the best cities in Canada: Vancuver,
I'm 15 but I am going to study Political sciences in the summer, I have a love for Noam Chomsky and other authors that enlighten and inform, I'm also a big fan of old civil rights activists from Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X, Dr. King Jr., Cesar Chavez, Ghandi etc.
They are a great resource for wisdom and inspiration.
I also have a passion for human rights advocacy, in particular the issue of the genocide in Darfur,
I drafted a petition with approximately somewhere between 1,500-1,600 signatures that I'm sending to DOZENS of MPs from the NDP, Liberals, and Conservatives to send a message the the Canadian government,
that's just a taste of other events and actions that I've done myself, or with the Interact club (International Action) my school's humanitarian action club,

a concept that defines how I approach activism and human rights is this:
Public Opinion > Public Pressure > Gov't actions > Media Attention > Public Opinion,
and it goes around, around, this system can either benefit propaganda, or you can affect just one of the chains in the link, it affects the next one,
the easiest link in the chain is public opinion through awareness, through attention, your message, be it about Sudanese child soldiers or LGBT rights, and everything in between, deserves attention.
