About me
Hey my name's Sally...I consider myself as an average 15 year old. I'm a fan of the fields relating to darkness, gothic, and spirituality. That's because I find all the different depths and perspectives of thinking intriguing.
I'm quite dedicated to spending time on the computer, just exploring websites and chatting with friends. Recently the website I've been involved with most is Taking It Global because it allows me to assimilate about various kinds of people around the world. Its certainly appealing to read about comments and opinions that isn't only originating from you. I often find myself realizing how much diversity there is amongst our point of views and I end up learning from it.
Aside from going on my computer regularly, I usually read during my leisure time. My most recent obsession would be "manga" books, from Japan. It amazes me how much creativity and imagination is placed into just book. Not only is it compelling to read, but it's difficult to not eventually discover a story that can relate to you somehow or some way. I admire the illustrations and the amount effort drawn onto each page...it really is captivating. My feelings for anime are mutal as well; you actually get an opportunity to see the motion visuals of what's drawn in the books! (I suppose that's what got me started into studying the Japanese culture...now, I'm determined to maybe travel there someday.) Anyhow, my other type of favourable novels would be in the genre of horror, adventure, and fantasy. Each of these contain suspense and often a well developed written plot.
As for television, I rarely have the time nowadays (excluding holidays), a larger proportion is spent on either homework/studying or the computer. Despite that fact though, the Media is actually a Global Issue I esteem and preferably discuss on TIG. The impact the media has on us today is an increasingly significant topic and the way it continues to shape our lives is unbelievable.
If I were to depict my personality I would say that I'm the kind to feel exultant when I recieve a chance to assist people, whether in a big or small way. Our world is definitely lacking in this quality right now...with all the racism and discrimnation going on. Think about it, because of these infinite predicaments concerning each other we neglect to eliminate the even more significant issues such as on going wars, poverty, and etc. I would also portray myself as a person who constantly contemplates about certain things in life such as the meaning of it, the value, or the purpose. Although I may not be very optimistic I do consider the alternatives in most situations.
Now, moving on to foods...I love pizza, mash potatoes, steaks, shrimps, fries, carrot sticks, and celeries with dip. It's probably not your typical beneficial diet...but telling yourself to strictly eat healthy is easier said than done. So, for now I'll keep eating the things I like before I grow older and become forced to worry about cholesterol and cardiac problems. (I'm not trying to say adolescents aren't subjected to these risks...but it tends to be more common with adults) [ -Mantra- Eat less sugar and you'll get less calories. Eat less sugar and you'll get less calories. Eat less sugar and you'll........... ]
At times when I'm not preoccupied or in need for concentration on a project I savour listening to music. I especially adore rock, punk rock, R&B and sometimes pop music because of their upbeat rhythms or smooth harmonies. Moreover, music to me is an awesome consolence tool whenever you feel down or frustrated. It can help settle any unbalanced emotions and slowly drift you off to another dimension. A band I strongly support would be Evanescence, I find their music extremely original from other artists and its lyrics have a cryptic touch to them. They can express the rollercoaster many desolated kids go through each day.
Finally, if there's anyone out there that was actually patient enough to read through this long and tedious profile of mine, feel free to add me on msn. :) I'm always up for meeting new friends!
