About me
I am Olivia D. Purba, a last year student majoring in International Relations in Universitas Indonesia. I was born and grew up in a small yet beautiful town in the highlands of Northern Sumatra called Berastagi. As I am clustering my study in Transnational Society, I am so interested in activities related to non-conventional issues such as human rights, environmental, and women issues. This is evidenced by my involvement in various civil society organizations: I am a supporter for WWF Indonesia, a volunteer for several community development programs, an active member in ISAFIS (Indonesia Student Association for International Studies) and also a project officer for the ‘Global Warming Seminar and Journalism Clinic' which were held by the BBC Goes to Campus in cooperation with student journalism ‘Fisipers'. In addition, I also work for the National Commission on Violence against Women, Association of Philanthropy Indonesia and security defense NGO ‘Propatria Institute'. My greatest passions are traveling and photography. In my leisure time I write my blog, read novel, or watch some movies.
