About me
Greetings everyone- Bonjour! Jambo! Tansi! I joined TIG a few years ago as I was preparing to go on a volunteer assignment to Zanzibar, Tanzania after just having completed my B.Sc. in Biology and about to start a Masters in Public Health. Since my return from Tanzania, I have worked through my graduate studies, and have continued to focus on both Population Health & Global Health issues including HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases, and how they impact the socio-economical development both at the community and at the individual level.
Since completing my MPH coursework, I have been fortunate enough to obtain an incredible position with Keewatin Yatthe Regional Health Authority. As Director of Community Health Development & Health Promotion, I am working on a variety of community health initiatives such as youth health groups, early childhood development, and partnering with other community stakeholders to improve the health status and well-being of residents in the area.
