Manar Idris is the Program Manager at the African Community Society – ACS, a non-profit non-governmental organization which aims to promote development in Jerusalem’s Old City by empowering the Children, Youth and Women to improve their quality of life based on a study of their needs.
Manar is pursuing her Master’s degree in Economics focusing on “The Youth Development Programs and its effect on the economical side in Jerusalem”.
She is working in the field of Youth Development since 2004, and she is a board member of the International Palestinian Youth League IPYL.
She has been participated in different regional and international youth training and exchange programs organized by Council of Europe and YAP, as well as many activities organized by the League of Arab States. She spent three months as an internship at the league of Arab States and she was part of the organization team of the Euro-Arab youth conference organized by the League of Arab States in partnership with Coe and FNG, which took place in Tunis and Sicily, July 2010, as well as The Arab Youth Summit that took place in Sharm Al Sheikh – Egypt in January 2011. As we as being part of the organization team of the Euro-Arab Forum that will take place in Palestine in July 2012.
