About me
Currently I am a graduate student at the University of Waterloo undertaking my Masters in Environment and Resource Studies. I plan to write me thesis on renewable energy systems.
I recently returned from 100 days of traveling through Russia, Mongolia, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Japan.
I also work for TakingITGLobal as editor of the Environment and Urbanization Issues website.
I was born and raised in Toronto, ON and have spent time living in Halifax, NS and Vancouver, BC. I have had many wonderful experiences doing very diverse activities such as leading white water canoe trips in Northern Ontario, touring Europe playing rugby and playing lead guitar in various musical groups and recently traveling overland from Moscow to Bangkok.
Over the years I have become increasingly concerned by many of the serious issues facing the planet, particularly those involving the degradation of our planets environment and issues of poverty, both of which are highly complex and tightly interlinked. Action is required in order to generate positive change and I strongly believe that the youth of today have the power to create a better world for future generations.
