About me
Jermyn K.Y. Voon is a Community Leader & Political Activist; Marketing & Social Media Professional & Well-Rounded Business professional, who is passionate about civil engagement especially youth involvement in the political process, international development & humanitarian initiatives. Jermyn was born in Whitecourt, Alberta and raised in Calgary, Alberta. He became actively involved in all levels of politics in high school, while volunteering for a fellow mayoralty candidate. Jermyn holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in General Management with an Accounting Option and a minor in Business Marketing from Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta. While at university, Jermyn has been actively involved in campus clubs of a political nature, sat as a director of a registered nonproft, served as a staff member of a local nonprofit and co-founded a student club that focused on political engagement. In addition, he served as both the Commissioner to the VP Student Life and Business Faculty Council Representative with the Students’ Association of Mount Royal University (SAMRU). Jermyn has been involved in political campaigns at the Municipal, Provincial and Federal levels in various ridings around the province of Alberta. Jermyn has experience in the government itself with summer positions at Government of Canada in Income Tax. He has volunteered with numerous nonprofit such as AIESEC Canada, Calgary 2012, Free the Children (We Day Calgary 2012) and Spread the Love. In his spare time, he enjoying hanging out with his friend and reading about current events and business trends

In addition, he is also a Assocate Member to the Society of Management Accountants of Alberta and a member of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce.

Upon completing studies in accounting, marketing and general business, he would like to pursue both a Post-Graduate Certificate in International Sustainable Community Development & Non-Profit Management.
