I recently retured to Canada from the Ship for World Youth, which sailed the Indian Ocean with other youth from Australia, Bahrain, Brazil, Canada Greece, India, Japan, Kenya, Morocco, Mauritius, Sweden, Tonga, and the United Arab Emirites. It was an amazing experience, and now I'm gearing up to take all that pent-up inspiration and spread it around... A good place to start is my current contract as Documentation Coordinator at EARTH: the World Urban Festival. Come check it out, June 21-25, 2006 at Great Northern Way Campus, Vancouver, BC, Canada!!
Other things I've done over the past few years include:
-working for the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP)'s Division of Early Warning and Assessment (DEWA) in Mexico City on the Global Environmental Outlook (GEO) for Youth in Latin America & the Caribbean project - the original position was organized through the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) as part of the Young Canadian Leaders for a Sustainable Future (YCLSF) programme and was funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) as part of the Young Professionals International Program (formerly YIIP)
- consulting for Foreign Affairs Canada, developing 2 courses for the Canadian Foreign Service Institute's Virtual Campus
-travelling in over a dozen countries throughout Central and South America, Asia, and Africa...
