Founded in June 2005, the Commonwealth Peoples’ Association of Uganda (CPA-UG) www.cpaug.org was duly registered as an NGO in December 2005 No. S. 5914/6156 as a peoples’ organization, non-partisan, charitable organization based in Kampala.
The Commonwealth Peoples’ Association of Uganda, (CPA-UG) an autonomous Commonwealth Society, affiliated to the Royal Commonwealth Society founded in 1868. www.rcsint.org
CPA is a member to several local and international organization such as Kabissa an NGO promoting the use of ICT4D (www.kabissa.org) and it works in partnership with international NGO such as the Royal Commonwealth Society (www.rcsint.org) based in London, I-Network Uganda (www.i-network.or.ug) I-Network is a national network of individuals and organizations that acts as a platform for sharing knowledge and information on applying ICT4D in Uganda, FRK Communications a consultancy firm that promotes knowledge in Behavioral Change Communication in Uganda, LIIDA a professional firm engaged in linking information and innovations for socio-economic development in Uganda through a private sector-led model.(www.liida.org) and Kiapi Marketing and Associates 2045(KAM) registered in October 2002 as a Management, Training & Consultancy firm to encourage Economic Development among the people of Uganda most especially the Youth both in the urban and rural areas.
The mission of Association is “To facilitate the effective participation of the Ugandan population in the Commonwealth in order to have a fair and just society for all.”
