Hi,
I am 19 years old and have been living in Québec since 3 years now. I'm studying in social sciences at college Lionel-Groulx and will be done this session. Although, I will be done I am changing my field of study for a technique in marketing.
What goal for the next few years:
With time due to the technology we have more and more people are starting to have this problem: obesity. Unfortunately, the statistics are increasing everyday and the population becomes for at risk. As a lifeguard and a swimming teacher it’s my responsibility to help children to be more active. My goal at long term would be promoting the benefits of exercising each day. Get people involved and tell them why it is so important to be healthy. Explain all the goods they can get from it. For example, working-out for about an hour per day can help a person to feel more peaceful and happy. Also, it is one of the best ways to keep your body at a healthy weight and having a high self-esteem. Finally but not least, people who trained on a regular base are subject to lower the risk of some diseases. As a result, the probability of living a longer life is increased. All this facts above shows how important it is to start working-out each day. Therefore, as a healthy person I would like to become a coach trainer to help people who don’t know the benefits of exercising or motivate the people who are not. Now exercising is good thing but there are three components to be well-balanced. The first one is aerobic exercise. Like other muscles, the heart is one of them and enjoys a good workout. Aerobic exercise is any type of exercise that gets the heart pumping and quickens your breathing. For example, jogging on a regular base can increase the amount of giving oxygen to all your body parts. The second one is having strong muscles is an advantage because they actually help protect you when you exercise by supporting your joints and helping to prevent injuries. The last one, exercise also helps the body stay flexible, meaning that your muscles can bend easily. People who are flexible can worry less about strained muscles and sprains. Although I explained the different types of exercises my goal would be towards aerobic fitness. I would like helping people by improving their cardio. Like I said before, I don’t want a make a career out of it but it is very important for me, it’s a passion. By motivating and getting people in better shape I know it’s the right thing to do. They will be in a better mood and have a high self-esteem. I am already involved since during the summer I coach soccer to young kids and explain them the reason why it is so important to be in shape. Since I want to help people to be healthier in my region, I discover this website. (http://kidshealth.org/kid/stay_healthy/index.html). This website is great because it’s specific to all age and not only teenagers. It goes from kids to adult. Also it explains different ways to be more active, some tips and vocabulary words. There is also a FAQ (frequently asked questions) section where parents may get there questions answered. Lastly, I will keep getting involved my coaching kids and one day be a professional private trainer to help people to get in better shape.
