About me
I entered the Development Field as a volunteer during my School life and continued working at community level. After completing my Masters, I taught for some time and did Post Graduate Diploma in Women Studies. Throughout my career I kept studying and working both full time, part time. I attended different trainings and learning activities during this time organized by International Organizations like CRS, CWS, FHI & USAID, Poplulation Council, British Council, UN-Habitat, UNFPA, UNAIDS and at national level by LUMS, SACHET, SDPI, AMAL and several others .
During this time I worked in different projects with Plus Development Foundation, Family Health International, later with SACHET in different projects of UNFPA, Plan-Pakistan, FHI & USAID & ILO specifically in Trainings & Capacity Building related to HIV/AIDS and Reproductive Health.
Moved to Humanitarian assistance field. Remained involved in the earthquake reconstruction and rehabilitation project with United Nations Human Settlement Program right after the earthquake in 2005 hit Pakistan devastating thousands of houses.
Spent three years with UN-HABITAT and later with National Rural Support Programme as District Coordinator for one year.
Joined Medecins du Monde as Site Coordinator in early 2010 and continued working with it till September,2010. Later the July-August Monsoon brought lot of rain with it resulting in the flood throughout the country. I moved to International Organization for Migration and based in Multan.
