 About Me |
Nancy Ries, M.A., C.E.T., is a nationally certified expressive arts therapist and educator living in Redwood City, California, and has been in practice through referrals since 1992. Her master's degree was in Human Consciousness Studies, focusing on transpersonal counseling psychology, mysticism, and art healing modalities, from John F. Kennedy University in Orinda, California, received in 1986. Nancy is also a multi-media artist and has produced media works related to spiritual awakening, mysticism, and embodiment.
The combined influence of the arts and healing in Nancy's life became a natural synthesis and approach in her life work, and her most current project is a healing arts geodesic dome, opening June 15, 2009, in Redwood City, California, and named 'Healing The Zebra'. The name, Nancy states, is to prompt a living symbol in one's mind, and in this case, the symbol of a zebra can represent a union of opposites, of black and white, a touch of the exotic and mysterious, the rare and the unusual.
The 'Healing The Zebra' project is dedicated to healing the body-mind-spirit of those who participate in its classes and workshops, and is non-denominational.
