Youths Accord Movement is a non-governmental, non-profit making and non violent organisation of youths that was bore out of the passion to reach out to other youths in the community in a clearly defined way in order to form alliance with them so as to foster community development. We at Youths Accord Movement believes that we as youths should be the advocates and initiators of the changes we want to see in our community and as such we should be able to use our potentials and talents to advocate our cause and that of the less privileged in our society by passing across vital information to the society and also communicating our views to the appropriate authorities. Owing to time shared with youths from different parts of this country and beyond, we at Youths Accord Movement are convince that despite our heterogeneity, this generation is equipped with youths of great level of intellectuality, wisdom and good leadership skills who only needs the right mind sets, encouragement and environment to help them channel this great mental assets into positive activities which will enhance our cooperate image as a nation both at home and abroad, cause economic growth and development, bring about progress in our nation and also benefit mankind in general. Therefore, we believe that it is our collective social responsibility to make adequate provision for this vulnerable and versatile segment of our society (i.e. the youths) and equip us for the tasks and responsibilities of taking charge of our own destiny, as we know that by doing this, we are not only doing this young people good but also making provision for the future of this great generation and also averting havocs, because havocs befall societies where so many youths with such large amount of energy are left to wonder about the streets without focus and direction, and past events has revealed to us that all segments of the society suffers for this negligence because law and order is practically broken down, business activities are automatically paralyzed and a general state of confusion and commotion sets in. Therefore, we all can contribute our quota to this rewarding and noble mission of restoring the integrity, honour, glory and pride of this nation by supporting the vision of Youths Accord Movement. MISSION AND VISION: Knowing that a generation without direction is like a disaster waiting to happen, our mission at Youths Accord Movement is therefore clearly stated, as been the avenue through which we youths can contribute to the development of our own community by been the advocates and initiators of the changes we want to see in our community through the following mediums: - To use the wealth of potentials and talents in us as youths to advocate our cause and that of the less privileged in our society by passing across vital information to the society and also communicating our views to the appropriate authorities. - To give we the youths of this generation especially of this nation a sense of direction by developing and enhancing our conceptual and leadership skills so as to contribute to community development. -To give we the youths a sense of belonging in the community by addressing key issues that particularly and directly relates especially to youths in the community. -To create the enabling environment and necessary networks for youths who are determined to standout in their chosen fields of endeavours to attain the peak of their potentials. -Inform the youths about recent development trends around the world especially as it relates to Information Technology and Health. -Ensure effective representation of the youths opinion in all governmental and community decisions and policies.
