 About Me |
Currently, Yoke May is a part-time tutor at Wawasan Open University in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. From 2007 to 2008, she was the Education Consultant with Ericsson. For a month in 2003, Yoke May was the Website Instructor with UNDP Afghanistan in Kabul, Afghanistan.
At the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), she liaised with stakeholders to update content on its website and social media sites. She also managed the RSPO membership and assisted in the development of communication materials for the RSPO.
From 2000-2002 and 2003-2005, she was the Webmaster at the United Nations Development Programme-Asia-Pacific Development Information Programme (UNDP-APDIP). Between 2002 and 2003, she was the Webmaster and Network Supervisor with the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) in Thailand.
Yoke May holds a Master of Science in Information Management from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand. She participated in the AIT Master’s Thesis Competition in 2007 for her thesis entitled, A Governance Framework for Improving Information Flow in NGOs.
Since 2000, Yoke May has been actively involved in various social work in Malaysia and Thailand such as fundraising, organising visits to charity homes and volunteering in various initiatives.
