About Me |
View my page on MOMENTUM
Hello everybody !
Salut tout le monde !
Hola a todos,
From a young age, Yassir enjoyed getting involved in his school as well as in his community. Whether it was with non-profit organizations such as TakingITGlobal, Make Poverty History, Impact, The Climate Project or volunteer with Hema-Quebec or participant in educational programs such as Shad Valley and the Al Gore's Training Session on Climate Change (April 4- April 6, 2008), Yassir has engaged in many efforts to ameliorate his community and to inspire other young people to get involved in useful projects and to make a difference in their communities, countries and the world in general.
Yassir obtained a Diploma in Collegiate Studies (Health Sciences) from Rosemount's Cegep in Montreal and he is now pursuing a Bachelor of Law in Montreal University.
Yassir enjoys learning new languages, he believes that it is a great way to communicate with a lot of people, to make new friends who share his passions and to participate in different international events, trainings and conferences.
He speaks fluently English, French, Arabic and Spanish and has a basic knowledge of Russian, Italian and Ukrainian.
Yassir's real passions are law and science - the heart of finding solutions to community problems. Being engaged to Yassir is the ultimate way of serving ones peers and actively affecting change in service to all of mankind.
Moreover, Yassir tries to do to the best of his ability in all the activities that interest him such as environmental projects, leadership programs, poetry and other commitments. In July 2007, he participated in the international and summer program named "SHAD VALLEY" at Carleton University in Ottawa. He also led his team (Shad Carleton 2007) to win the "Second Best Overall" in the RBC/Shad Entrepreneurship Cup where he was the President of the Application of Scientific Principles Committee as well as the translator of the website and material of Kinnovations Inc.
In high school, Yassir enjoyed devoting much of his time to his community through his role as Student Representative in various contests and conferences in Morocco as well as in Canada.
In fact, he truly believes that youth must realize they are global citizens. Besides, he firmly believes that youth as a collective force have the ability to make great positive changes in our society and in the world in general by taking action no matter how small it is and by thinking positively.
Concerning his hobbies and interests, he likes sciences, learning new languages, webmastering, sports especially soccer, badminton and swimming, poetry and literature.
Moreover, Yassir participated in the Fourth World Youth Congress (visit: www.wyc2008.qc.ca) which was held from August 10 to August 21, 2008, in Quebec City. It was an unforgettable and an enriching experience for all young leaders who participated as delegates in this international event and it was also an amazing opportunity to meet the Champions of Youth and participate in different workshops and conferences.
From April 4 to April 6, Yassir participated in the US former president Al Gore's training session on Climate Change and especially on the canadian version of the successful movie "An Inconvenient Truth" (visit: http://theclimateproject.org/). He was selected amongst hundreds of applicants to participate in this amazing event.
Yassir started a project called Highly Poetry when he became a member of TakingITGlobal, the largest community of young leaders who are changing the world, now there are more than 220 members and participants in his project which is a poem without end available in five versions (English, French, Arabic, Spanish and Portuguese), it is an educational project about CULTURE, POETRY, DIVERSITY, CLIMATE CHANGE AND ALL THE ISSUES THAT YOUTH ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT. Take a look at the 300 poetical verses that were submitted in different languages -by young leaders like you- at: http://projects.takingitglobal.org/elouarzadi

The everyone song!

I Love My Shad Valley
We are here in Stormont
Sleeping on the 4th floor
We don’t take the elevator
…………….no more
Eating at the cafeteria
All you can eat buffet
I just wish it wasn’t
The same food everyday
Yeah yeah yeah
Shad Valley,
I love my Shad Valley
We worked on the DE
It was real hardcore
Poke the person beside you
If he started to snore
Dragon boating with hank the tank now
Camping in Smiths Falls
Shad city on the beach
Adrian lecture was shopping at malls
Yeah yeah yeah
Shad Valley,
I love my Shad Valley
Do you remember when we used to say,
Sha la la la la la la la la la la la la ti da…
STD … sha la la … Shad Television Directory
Then there was the rubix cube
Took over like the Shad plague
This one wasn’t half as bad
No more coughing Shads
Harry Potter the Deathly Hallows
We don’t talk about that
If you discuss it too much
Andrew will hit you with his bat
Yeah yeah yeah
Shad Valley,
I love my Shad Valley
Do you remember when we used to say,
Sha la la la la la la la la la la la la ti da…
Ground hogs … sha la la … gangsta poetray
Reading poetry with Yassir
Jamming on the guitar
All of these small things
Helps us find out who we are
Musician, artist, or nerd
We are all one
Chilling at Shad Valley
Our Journey has just begun
Yeah yeah yeah
Shad Valley,
I’ll miss my, Shad Valley

• Accroître la prise de conscience des jeunes et leur offrir un accès à des opportunités et à des ressources pertinentes;
• Aider les jeunes à se mettre en réseau et encourager la collaboration entre eux ou entre les initiatives jeunesse;
• Renforcer les capacités des jeunes et des initiatives mises en œuvre par les jeunes;
