About Me   About Me
A master in event management… An advocate for World Peace!

Richard Fletcher's global experience adds to his UN Regional Coordinator position and his NGO, One Day in Peace / World Peace 2000 work. Richard exceptional event management, communication, people management and professional public speaking skills are unique.

Following his highly successful One Day In Peace / World Peace 2000 events in Australia, his current mission is the creation of an event which will allow individuals to experience the essence of World Peace and the international promotion of the unique… "Australian World Peace Model."

Throughout his life Richard has been able to create excitement and interest in special events by making each individual aware of the personal relevance of the event as well as the benefit to the wider community.

Richard’s Personal Life Coaching, enables others to understand their individual role and personal abilities - not by persuasion, nor coercion, by simply assisting them to realise and embrace their own innate qualities and passions. Because people are delighted by what he brings out in them, they feel encouraged to share this with others in order to make a world difference and his work has already been recognised Richard is recipient of the: United Nations - Brahma Kumaris, Certificate of Global Cooperation for a Better World. The Mexican, International Plate of Solidarity and UNESCO, Messenger of Manifesto 2000.

His Australian efforts towards the establishment of One Day in Peace culminated in the donation of the "Australian World Peace Monument" by the City of Stonnington, in Melbourne.

Richard’s personal passion is to now bring inner harmony, which will lead to World Peace. Some may claim that World Peace is an enormous undertaking. He understands such hesitation. However he believes that it is as simple as the “lighting of the match, which creates a forest fire” because each small action creates a huge difference. After all, World Wars have been created by individuals, - why not World Peace?

As an individual, Richard saw the need to clean up the Yarra River and Port Phillip Bay in Melbourne. Many people told him that he was crazy to undertake such a huge, un-funded project.

His belief guided him to foster individual leaders’ concern for the environment, they then joined his Yarra Yarra Committee, eventually becoming an army of 25,000 people who gave their time and energy to make their waterway a better place. For the first time in Australia, government departments, private enterprise organisations and the general public combined forces to make a positive difference to Australia’s environment. Which lead to the formation of Clean Up Australia Day when Richard’s work was combined with a Sydney clean-up group. This example of Australian environmental effort was taken to the Environmental Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

“Important events, such as an expression for World Peace, do not happen by chance,” Richard explains, “they happen because this wish lies deep within each individual involved. Spiritual magic happens when the individual realises that they are standing amongst an enormous crowd of other people who have the same desire in their heart. Thus in their personal process, they realise the synergy of their mental, physical and emotional aspects with the whole of life. It is an unforgettable and powerful experience.”

Richard Fletcher creates magic! Because he opens people to the magic of life and the power of cooperation, he creates successful, meaningful events that bring change – to the individual, the Nation and the World!
