Over Mij

Warren Brown is a Library-Assistant at the Goethals Indian Library and Research Centre, at St.Xavier's College, Calcutta, India. He has been working at the Library for over the last ten years(1st August 1994). He has also worked for over three years at Calcutta Rescue, a Social Service organization. Warren has worked in a Transport Company for over one year and at an Art Gallery for over one year, before joining the Library. While at the Library, Warren supervised the Preservation of rare Books and Documents of the Library, which was done by a Preservation Company. Warren has done a number of Courses. He has a Certificate in Computer Science, Teachers Training Certificate, Entrepreneurship Development Programme, Advertising and Public Relations and a Diploma Course in Library Science.Warren has completed a Gold Track course in Medical Transcription in 2002. Warren is doing his Masters degree in Environment and Ecology from the Sikkim Manipal University, Gangtok, through Distance Education 2004-2005. Warren has a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours in English and a Major in English, from IGNOU.Warren has his own web sites at

Warren is married, his wife is a Secretary.They are both Anglo-Indians by Community and race. Anglo-Indians are the only minority Christian, English speaking community in India, whose Mother-tongue is English.Please view the following community websites:

Warren enjoys writing articles, poems and features, he contributes his work to a number of newspapers and magazines. Warren enjoys doing research work as well.
Warren is doing his Masters thesis for his degree in Environment and Ecology at present.Warren received a "First Class" statement of Marks for his Part I exams, of his MSc. held in December 2004.
