I am happy to introduce myself as a Development worker from India specialised in Economic empowerment programs. Facilitate the Non government Organisations, Co-operatives and voluntary organisations in initiating economic activities / income generation programmes (IGP) for their stake holders. Also, I have expertise in Micro Enterprise Development process. Areas of interest includes Enterprise Development & Management Program (ED&MP), Rural Marketing (RM) and various capacity building & livelihood programs. Travelled extensively in India in organising / conducting Capacity building programs for the NGO staff, federation leaders and marginalised people. I have trained around 500 self-help group (SHG) members in starting their own micro enterprises. Between July 1999 and January 2003, I worked as Program Officer with Federation of South India Producer Associations (SIPA), India. Wherein, I headed the program "Strengthening Sustainable Micro Enterprises (SSME)" supported by CORDAID, The Netherlands. At present, I am working with International Labour Organization (ILO) as Project Officer in the Vocational and Skills development program. This is a unique programme for the Tsunami affected people of Tamilnadu and works with Trade Unions. SCHOLASTIC PROFILE : When I obtained my first Masters in Non Government Organisations Management (NGO Mgmt) from India, I fell in love with the subject, and worked with non profit organisation for several years. But I was propelled to follow my passion and seek a business degree (MBA), and found a wonderful school in Melbourne (Victoria University) that boasts several respected business management professors. I completed MBA (marketing) in July, 2005. I studied economics in my bachelors from Bishop Heber College, Trichy, India.
