 About Me |
I am a cheerful and friendly persona, who likes keeping herself busy in different issues and is willing to learn more.
While continuing as a top student throughout the academic career, including LLB Degree at Mykolas Romeris University (Vilnius, Lithuania), Socrates/Erasmus scholarship and the LLM Degree at Uppsala University, I have always been involved in numerous extracurricular international activities. These include:
* Extensive experience in working within the Non-Governmental sector, including the responsibilities at ILSA Lithuania (Deputy Project Manager for organising the International Summer School “War on Terror and Human Rights” (10-22 July, 2006, Vilnius, Lithuania) www.ilsa.lt/summerschool), and the ongoing training at ELSA Uppsala (Deputy Vice President Marketing).
* Conference ‘Feast of Scientific Thought’ (April 25-27, 2006, Mykolas Romeris University, Vilnius, Lithuania), where I presented the paper on ‘Exportability of Family Benefits in the EU’ (included in the book 'Mokslines minties svente 2006', MRU Publishing House) and helped to organise this annual event in 2002 and 2003.
* Vast experience in moot court competitions, including The European Law Moot Court Competition 2005/2006, Lithuanian law moot court competition TEMIDE, and Telders International Law Moot Court Competition.
Overall, my interests reach far beyond law, including politics, economics, travelling (spent one year in the UK, a year in Sweden, and four months in the USA), arts and exploring various cultures. When one gets to know me better, they find out I can play the guitar, kankles (Lithuanian national instrument), am a good singer and can't get the feet off a dance floor - what else could you really ask when looking for a smart lawyer- party soul?
