Vientos del Sur es una organización no gubernamental sin fines de lucro, fundada en 1997 por un grupo de jóvenes interesados en generar iniciativas ciudadanas para contribuir al logro de un desarrollo mas equitativo e incluyente, tanto a nivel local como global.
La acción de Vientos del Sur está enfocada al empoderamiento de los sectores sociales en situación de desventaja -con especial énfasis en los jóvenes- promoviendo su protagonismo e involucramiento en iniciativas orientadas a su propia inclusión y desarrollo.

Vientos del Sur Association is a non-governmental and non-profit organization that was founded in 1997 by an initiave of a group of young people who had interest of generating civic initiatives to contribute to the achievement of a more involving and equitable development, both at local and global level, considering that the human rights and the human development are coincident with its objectifs of guaranteeing freedom, dignity and well-being for all human beings. We seeks, from a transdiciplinarian scope, to design, to promote and to implement researches and diverse strategies of social transformation, inspired by the vision of promotion of human development for the strengthening of human rights.
Vientos del Sur´s mission is specially oriented to the empowerment of people in disadvantage situation, to promote their protagonism and involvement in those initiatives oriented to their self-inclusion and development from creative approaches, by means of an articulated work between civil society and State, strategic partnerships and networking
to take advantage of the resources available, social capital, regional cultural heritage and international cooperation.
