I have experience and potentials in mobilizing and empowering communities to take up community development, governance, Health & HIV issues through Civil Society mobilization and engagement. I am skilled in applying a variety of organizational and community capacity development engagements and participatory tools and models like PADEF, PRA, PLA, REFLECT, STAR and RBA. This has been demonstrated in partnership and organizational development relationship management with Government, private partnerships, Civil Society related programmes I have participated in like USAID, DFID, EU-MPP3, indigenous NGOs and INGOs while I was at Rural Linkage Network, UNICEF and currently in Community Care in Nigeria (CCN), a USAID funded project in Nigeria. I have a strong innovative and analytical mind, ability to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision and dedication to assuring organizational goals. Thus, I will able to facilitate and support scale up of appropriate programme and technology models. I have supervised and lead community driven campaigns using ‘local’ methods; this won me a State Honors Award during my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). In the past, I have participated in the scale up of programme ideas on Community Reproductive Health, HIV Prevention, Income Generating Activities for organizations like UNICEF, Winrock International, Nigeria – AIDS Impact Mitigation (AIM) project in Nigeria; Center for Population and Development Activities (CEDPA) – Positive Living Programme, SFH/Oxfam Novib’s Universal Access to Female Condom Programme and UNICEF’s HIV/ARH Handbook and Workbook development. I recently developed the Partnership Colour Coded Matrix for Managing Partnership Relationships and support organizational development strategies amongst organizations involved in development initiatives. At the moment; I’m a consultant to MSH’s Leadership Management Sustainability Programme (LMS) on HIV Prevention amongst young people. I recently adapted the CSI Colour Coded Matrix out for use prioritization, targeting and quality improvement for OVC based on the CSI Tool. A seasoned Master Trainer, I have served as an Orientation/Master Trainer State Team Leader, Youth and Logistic Facilitator, Resource Support Person since 2003 to various key activities that cuts across, planning, mobilization and training of Master trainers, Reporting, Reviews, Debriefings, Field implementation, Monitoring, Mentoring of PETs, Database Development, Support to National Project Team and Lead Resource People in the UNICEF-National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) National Reproductive Health Project. I have been equipped skills to effectively deliver HIV prevention programmes; programming for young people and communities through civil society mobilization and engagement action by building working partnerships and networks for the sustainability of this programme. I am a National Coach of the UNDP Nigeria States transformational Leadership programme (LDP) for transformational strategic response to HIV/AIDS. I am a Reproductive and Maternal Health Fellow of Macarthur and Pathfinder International Emerging Leadership Development (ELDP - 2005 – 2007). Furthermore, within this time line, I have not only honed my ability to function effectively as part of a multi-cultural/religious team with demonstrable supervisory skills, excellent writing and oral communication and presentation skills, ability to work in a fast paced environment(s) and under tight schedule(s) but, I have also learned the fusion of ideas, skills in creative thinking and knowledge in meeting challenging targets and desired/expected results in development setting. I have experience capturing lessons learnt for learning, local advocacy, campaign activities, fundraising across organizations I have worked within various contexts. Finally my experience in the project and partnership management in the past three years (which included working with MDAs & CSO – CBOs, NGOs & FBOs to support then through organization development, coalition building, networking etc) afforded me a practical experience of critically understanding the dearth in MDAs & CSO capacity & systems to implemented quality interventions aimed at addressing the needs of beneficiaries. This experience did not only deepen my understanding of priority programme areas to address and intervene for amongst Civil Society but also to bring these issues to the fore in development learning efforts
