Society free from illiteracy, infectious diseases like HIV/AIDS STIs and active youth participating in the decision-making bodies of the country peace building and promotion of sports Mission statement SOYVO exists to contribute positively to the society and engage in activities that cater to the needs of Somaliland youth, and to promote positive behavior change amongst the youth through advocacy empowerment, partnership and recourse/mobilization for the eradication of HIV/AIDS and luck of human right in Somaliland Goals and Objectives 1. To encourage sustainable development in communities. 2. To showcase activities of youth-led organizations, development partners and corporate bodies 3. To educate young people on their rights and promote the rights of girl child especially girl child education. 4. To identify policies, practices and norms that affect adolescents and young people 5. To provide care and support for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) and people affected by AIDS (PABA) 6. To help in the reduction of drug use, armed conflict and poverty among youths 7. To create youth-friendly resource centers where non-discriminatory services can be offered to young people and train youth peer educators on HIV/AIDS and reproductive health 8. To promote the conviction that Youth and adolescents represent a powerful force for change. 9. To identify, groom & cultivate youth for immediate and future leadership responsibility. What does the organization do? The organization supports young and helpless children by providing sustainable educational and health environments, leadership training that enable these children to break the cycle of poverty. In the same vein the organisation supports young talented youths in the exhibition of their talents for their own benefits and for the benefits of the society at large.also we support Youth Politcal particpation and provide them leadership training Opportunities for Youth HEALTH/CARE: We work to improve Youth and adolescent reproductive health through programs that address HIV/AIDS, promote healthy sexual behaviors, counseling and other services in a youth friendly manner. We provide care and support for young people living with or affected by HIV/AID. RIGHTS/ADVOCACY: We promote the protection of youth and adolescent rights in all spheres of life through youth adolescent rights awareness campaigns, seminars and workshops, and by providing legal counseling and aid. We also advocate for policies that protects youth adolescent rights. And produce YOUTH Talk Magazine called Baraarug CAPACITY BUILDING/POVERTY ALLEVIATION: We work to develop the capacity and potentials of youth through life planning education, training of peer educators and distribution of educational materials. In addition, we help to increase their income-earning potentials through career planning, skills acquisition training, business management education, COLLABORATION/NETWORKING: We collaborate with other civil society organizations that work with youths and adolescents. We also work to bring these organizations together for synergistic impact.
