 About Me |
Life doesn't always turn out the way you expect it to. I always imagined myself going to college and having a graduate degree by the time I was 25, being an architect or engineer. But, as I grew older my interests changed and I found myself waffling in college. Here I am, almost 28 and I just finally graduated with my undergraduate degree. Working in Human Resources is definitely not my dream, but for now it's a means to an end. Eventually I want a graduate degree in Psychology and a position teaching and doing research on literacy interventions.
The one thing that has turned out to be a blessing in disguise is my inability to choose only one direction. Because of this 'flaw' I also studied criminology, social justice and gender studies in school. These topics opened my eyes to the world around me and allowed me to become a much more caring and thoughtful individual.
I'm looking forward to using this site to gain more insight and knowledge about the world around me.
