…a fountain for disconception of indiscipline by theatre INTRODUCTION Theratre Centrik is a non-profit,non-govermental organization with a mission to promote societal development conducive to the protection of Nigerian nascent democracy;and to the eradication of social vices prevalent in our present day society as well as education of the populace,particulary the youths,on the implications of their involments in crime development which impinge negatively on the socio-economic and moral standards of Nigeria by exploiting: Theare:Plays;Songs,dances, dance drama,poetry recitals etc; Public lectures to promote citizens` participation in the enlightenment scheme; Research on public education; Publication. OUR HISTORY Theatre Centrik is a part of Vican Production, theatre and communication outfit ,founded in 1999.it comprises of youths who are interested in the empowerment of citizens and in voulauntry participation in creating crime free and decent society in Nigeria; and consisting of the President/ Fonder Tony Biyi Boyade, a Theatre veteran, Wale Ajakaye, Public relation Officer ; and more than 150 members. OUR INVOLVEMENT The Theatre foundational Outfit carries out it’s function through it’s theatrical works; It had toured many Secondary Schools in Nigeria to preach against several Vices like Sexual harassment, Exam malpractice, Cultism and others that can impede moral development of the Children in the future –all via theater AIMS Theater centrik main aims are not only to empower the children and forster in them the spirit of self –reliance and appraisal but also to educate the populace about the happenings that affect our existence politically, socially and Culturally and those that create negative impact on our attitude to one another as well as to futher project our cultural values to the World, and contribute to the Nigerians ethnic groups cohesion.
