About Me

I use to believe that you had to be old to make a difference. However, I learned that it's my future and I'm letting adults decide what to do with it! That's when I started to take action. I started volunteering for organizations around my community. Even these small ways of helping made a big difference.
It was not until I was asked to be the Volunteer Ambassador for my school that I really understood the impact I had on the world. I realized that youth really can make a difference and that we all should. It was up to me to spread this wisdom and help create a world of change.
I took real pride in my work with my local health unit where I try to convince my peers to choose a healthy life-style particularly one that is smoke-free. This cause affects every issue whether it environmental, health or global. Now I'm taking my passion even further and attending Carleton University majoring in Human Rights/Women and Gender Studies with a minor in African Studies. With my education I know I will be able to continue to make a difference.
