When you get tired of a system that keeps you oppressed, depressed and frustrated it is not okay to sit back, complain or expect improvement without making your own contribution to make things better. We cannot all sit back while the best of Africa and all young Africans emigrate to Europe and America. We owe it to our future to make Africa viable. Talk to the man in the mirror each morning and ask him what he has done to help his community, country and humanity. It is not easy to change practices that have been intentionally institutionalised to keep a people poor so that they can only think about the next meal. When we the younger generation of Africans are economically empowered the curtains will be up for dictators, bad governance and manipulation of citizenry. When we are more informed and can make better choices we will get over our ignorance. W. E. B. Dubois vision in setting the National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People (NAACP) and the Pan African Movement should be re-awakened with current realities; knowledge, its application, awareness, bigger markets, mutual benefit and common aspirations to the descendants of parties irrespective of geography. People of African decent will get respect when we are economically empowered. We only have to look at the Asian experince to learn.
