About me
After teaching High School Business Education courses for 18 years, I became the Technology Support Teacher for our district and have been in that position for 17 years. In that capacity it has been my job to train teachers K-12 and help them integrate technology into their classrooms.
We are a Macintosh school district and I am fairly adept in all aspects of the iLife suite of programs. In addition, I have a teaching knowledge of Dreamweaver, Inspiration, MS Office Suite, unitedstreaming, Nettrekker and a number of other programs. I have knowledge of, but not quite well enough to teach, Moodle, Google Earth, Google Sketch Up, InspireData and a wide variety of Web 2.0 applications. Our district uses School Center for its website and I am very knowledgeable in setting up access as well as using the many types of pages available. Although these are not technical skills, I also have taken classes or workshops in Project-based Learning, Performance Assessment, Differentiated Instruction and Marzano's work 'Classroom Instruction That Works'.
Some of the projects I have supported include podcasts, iMovies, Web pages, and a variety of digital storytelling projects.
