About Me

Theodore Somda is my name and I work at association Yam Pukri from Burkina Faso. Since 5 years within this structure I initiate myself with ICT's, in particular has the design of Web page ,I'm a webmaster. Taking share with the activities of my association as regards popularization of ICT's in Burkina Faso, I also intervene within the data-processing formation in one of the centers of Yam Pukri has Ouaga: yamnet. These 5 years of experiment within this dynamics association enabled me to have a vision and a rather critical appreciation of ICT's and use that us African must do them, but that it is another history. And since I must speak about me, I will say that I impassion myself for the design of Web pages, because it is time for us the Africans to produce contents on the Net. Good contents which are what we let us want and who answers especially has our waitings. The production of typically African Web site (same if it goes the opposition to a certain opinion has which thinks Internet like tool of universalization, globalisation, although for me all cannot be it) is a necessity to allow has us to them African to consume our product and especially a means of encouraging has the use of this tool. I live the capital of Burkina Faso Ouagadougou or I'm in process to finish my studies in Finances Accounts Department of it has the University while undertaking my various activities. I am, and that for one year now, has associated within Yam Pukri as well as network Local Information Exchange Network of Burkina, with the project of a Web site BURKINA NTIC which show the ICT'S seen by the burkinabe and also which will enable them to have access has all the information of ICT's in the world and particularly in Africa. I'm very interest about the video and all the multimedia, I was the winner of the AISI media awards for the ECA (Economic communuty for Adrica) at Addis Ababa in 2003, for my film 'the voice of young of burkina'.

Sharing it's very important for me if with we want to have experience.The importance nowadays for the information and the power that it can bring for build a sustainable development in Africa lead me to have an engaged attitude.For that I think that to belong to a world community like TIG it's important for bring my experience and also have more about the others
