About Me

At 24 years of age, I am an outgoing gentleman, a Political Science and Public Administration degree holder from the University of Nairobi. I have served within the youth sector for the last 6 years including serving as the Ag. Executive Director at Youth Alive! Kenya. Currently I am working at Forum Syd Africa Regional Office as project Officer. As a facilitator, a mentor and with a strong professional and leadership, I have been instrumental in designing and implementing various programmes and projects with a bias on youth development.
Part of the initiativesI have played part in shaping and in regards to membership include the East African Uongozi Institute where he is an alumni, the Belonging Exchange Programme-U.K on leadership, identity and development by the British Council Nairobi and U.K, the InterAction leadership programme by British Council Nairobi, Debate To Action programme by British Council, on MDG and other pivotal development issues, the Tackling Poverty Together project sponsored by SIDA through UNDESA and LSU based on youth perspective in development among numerous youth capacity building projects undertaken within Youth Alive! Kenya. I am currently a vice President for the Community of Democracies Young leaders’ forum having been duly elected on March 24th in Vilnius Lithuania. Beyond My daily work engagement I further further serve under the Women Refugee Youth Advisory Group particularly on their out of school youth programme. Other membership networks that I am part of include the INEE, YLF among other local and national networks.
I love interacting and synergizing efforts towards bringing change in the community and in particular through young people from diverse backgrounds. Politics is deep in my heart and look forward to my career in public policy making processes. I believe in giving back to the society the skills I have that they may require.
