* Develop information management user’s guidelines for UBC in accordance with UBC’s information requirement.
* Design, develop, implement and maintain the UBC Local Area Network and database management applications in line with IT procedures and organizational requirements.
* Coordinate with the information services providers and also provide IT specifications to procurement organs in accordance with UBC information and communication Technology strategy.
* Carry out periodic research resource inventories in and outside UBC by visiting country archives and public libraries.
* Design file footage to label videotape and archive them in UBC station’s morgue for storage and easy location.

* Develop security and disaster contingency plans, Configure and troubleshoot IT equipment according to the IT procedures.
* Documentation of technical and user’s manuals as well as preparation of quarterly report on the status of Information Management Systems in line with the UBC AOP.
* Identify IT training needs and also provide end user support as per UBC IT training needs.
* Liaise with programming officers to visit country archives and analyze historical records to obtain information that can be programmed for production.
* Update the file catalogs and extract specific cassettes of file footage from the library as requested by producers, reporters, writers and news editors
* Provide data centre support for servers, LAN, WAN, network equipment, and other infrastructure systems
* Identify, study, and resolve technical problems and provide timely and effective solutions
