Over Mij

I have made contribution to the communities around me through volunteer service for three years in world vision kenya-winam area development program,undugu society of kenya-western kenya youth project,sana international(dutch embassy)as a community assistant secretary on watsan project in manyatta/kisumu-wandiege project,co-ordinator-Girl child network/western kenya chapter.I am also facilitating programs on child rights , life skills,gender based violence, and career guidance on trade skill choice to youths,children and adults.This have also been done through plan internatinal/kenya-bondo,Girl child network-kenya,Ebenezer life center(street rehabilitation prigram) and undugu society of kenya.I am also taking a diploma in community development through distance learning program and had been a social worker in a rehabilitation program.I trained the administrators through ANPPCAN kenya child rights.However i still feel, there is a strong need to partner to make the world a better place to live.Other responsibilties is co-ordination of activities of Girl child network-Western kenya which includes sanitary towel campaign in schools, and heading Vision and empowerment projects in western kenya.recently in partnership with the Government of Kenya we managed to be part of child activist co-ordinating child protection issues in transitional camps in nyanza(during post election violence).I am calling on friends and partner organisations to contact me or our trustees through the internet.-www.kisumuchildren.org.uk or somaujih @yahoo.com.Recently i was elected to the post of a national coordinator Mobile youth Network - Kenya after making a presentation on the individual case assesment of street children in kenya.
