My name is Sidra Butt and I am the Jr. Executive Assistant here at TakingITGlobal. I finished my honors double major in Psychology and Sociology from The University of Western Ontario. I am excited about my new position and getting to know all the members and volunteers. Just a little background about me, I was born in Karachi Pakistan and came to Canada when I was in grade 8 so I am quite familiar with the Pakistani culture and language. I am extremely passionate about global issues specifically women and children's rights. Throughout my academic career, I was actively involved in organizations that allowed me to use my academic and practical skills in assisting the vulnerable population Some of the organizations I have been an active member of include: London Distress Centre Peel Distress Centre London Children Connection Peel Children's Aid Muslim Resource Centre If I had the choice, I would spend all my afternoons on a beach with a nice book to read and good music under the warm warm sun
